Parenting through the tween years can feel like walking a tightrope: one minute your child wants independence, the next they need you right there. Add in school pressures, friendship ups and downs, and the tech battles, and it’s no wonder so many parents feel stretched thin and unsure if they’re doing it “right.”
You don’t need to do this alone.

I’m Bridget KerMorris, a parent coach, associate therapist in California, and the creator of the Steady + Connected (S+C) Parenting™ Framework, a relational, regulation-rooted approach designed to help parents stay close and connected to their tweens and teens, even in the messiest moments of middle school.
With a law degree from Stanford University and a master’s in couple and family therapy, I bring both analytical clarity and deep emotional insight to my work. My S+C Parenting™ framework is trauma-informed and neurodivergent-friendly, drawing from my clinical experience with Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and EMDR.
Hey there!
Parenting through the middle school years without constant battles over homework, phones, or respect. No more lying awake replaying arguments or wondering if you handled it “the right way.” Instead, you feel clear on your role, steady in your responses, and confident that you’re guiding your child with both strength and compassion.
Picture sitting across from your tween and having real conversations that don’t spiral into lectures or eye-rolls. Picture boundaries that actually hold because they’re rooted in trust, not fear. Picture a home where mistakes are met with repair instead of resentment, where your child knows, no matter what, you’re their safe place.
That’s the work we’ll do together. Coaching isn’t about adding one more thing to your busy life; it’s about giving you the tools, support, and confidence to make the parenting you want to do actually feel possible.
